Dear Family and Friends,
As we look at this Christmas, we rejoice and remind everyone about the significance of the birth of Jesus! We also think of our family and friends and pray for you. We are thankful for many things that happened in our lives this year in 2018. Here are some of our blessings:
Tom continues being self employed at SEO Does Matter, Inc. He is doing quite well and God has blessed his work. In his spare time, he continues to volunteer time with Coco at nursing homes, hospitals, Margate community events, church events with special need children and working with CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). He was honored to win the TRIAD “citizen of the year” award for all his volunteer work!
Melodie continues to heal from major surgery (a double transplant of kidney and pancreas that she received on August 28.) She is very thankful for this dramatic change in her life! God has blessed her and both organs are doing very well. She has taken it easy and had to stay home to avoid complications of infections. This month she started some minimal gym exercise to regain her strength and looks forward to further improvements!
Carlos is doing very well. In January, he graduated as a Marine! He is stationed in California and his field of expertise is “Combat Engineer,” He came home for a visit for his birthday in July and enjoyed his “time off.” Recently, he was deployed to the US Southern border and returned back to base this month. He continues to enjoy barbering in his free time on the weekend!
Coty, our cat, is doing well. He is 12 years old and still playing with Coco. He does enjoy nap times, but overall is in good health! Coty and Melodie kept each other company since the operation and always enjoys all the snuggles!
Coco, our dog, is seven. She relaxes here at home and enjoys chasing away the ducks in the back yard. She does most of the volunteer work with Tom and the people of Margate love her! Now that Grandpa lives two doors away, Coco is very happy running and getting coconuts from him!
We know many families have difficult times during the holidays and especially this year in 2018. We continue to pray for their peace and comfort in addition to God’s provisions for each and every one of them.
